At Toby’s, we believe that our passion for sports is not only limited to providing superior, quality products and services among sports enthusiasts. We know that in order to fully live that passion, we must share it with sports lovers of all ages.  In particular, we recognize the fire in the hearts of Filipino kids, and we want to encourage and cultivate that passion in them.  This dream drove us to form the Toby’s Youth Sports Foundation. We believe that by creating opportunities and programs, we can HELP KIDS PLAY.

OUR TARGET

The main focus of this foundation is the youth, primarily children who, regardless of social and economical standing, have the talent, potential and passion to excel in a sport.

PROGRAMS & EVENTS

The Toby’s Youth Sports Foundation (TYSF) has partnered with a variety of businesses, youth mentoring organizations, universities and governmentagencies to help encourage the Filipino youth to engage in sports and have an active lifestyle. 

The Toby’s Youth Sports Foundation believes that exposure to sports brings great benefit to kids. They can achieve a healthy, active lifestyle; have the chance to find an outlet for them to showcase and develop their talents and skills in a sport while learning valuable life skills in the process.
A number of these key learnings are captured in TOBY’S CORE VALUES — sportsmanship, discipline, aspiration integrity, honesty, responsibility, time management, and the importance of family bonding in the community. By achieving overall character development, this will help shape better young citizens. Our programs, campaigns and events include:

AGE GROUP TOURNAMENTS

The Age Group Tournaments Program is the grassroots of development programs, aimed at fostering character, sportsmanship, and fair play in kids while they are still young.  It also intends to create awareness of various sports such as badminton, tennis etc. Through this program, young individuals are given the opportunity to play in high-profile sports tournaments such as volleyball, tennis, and badminton. To date, these tournaments have seen a huge number of kids participating nationwide.
Age Group tournaments kids may join: 

Toby’s Tennis Festival (April) –  caters to tennis players aged 8 to18

Juniors Volleyball Invitational Tourney (January) – caters to volleyball players aged 14 and below

Youth Badminton Championships (October- November) – caters to badminton players kids aged 8 to 18
 

ADOPT-A-KID TENNIS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 This program is in partnership with the Futures Tennis Foundation. It is designed to provide grants/ sponsorships to promising youth athletes, regardless of socio-economic status. Grants will be utilized for the young athlete’s training needs and playing expenses in both local and international tournaments.

TOBY’S DONATION DRIVE

Toby’s stores encourage customers to donate their old sports equipment (that are still in good condition) like rackets, balls, shoes, apparel, etc. Gathered items are then awarded to the worthy but underprivileged youth institutions, such as those in public schools and youth – empowered groups.

TOBY’S GIFT GIVING

Part of giving back to the community, Toby’s also donates sports equipment and gift packs to street children in rehab centers during the Christmas Season. This is done in cooperation with our partner Rotary Clubs in Metro Manila.
